What Makes Eagle Mountain Different?
Our Cafe has a special menu of delicious homemade soups, sandwiches and clean and light pastas, prepared fresh daily. I eat at the Cafe myself throughout the winter, so I personally make sure everything we serve is prepared using only the highest quality ingredients. "Does Eagle Mountain Get Enough Snow?" This is one of our most frequently asked questions. Let me explain why Eagle Mountain was built where it is. The meadow is at our base elevation of 5,860 feet which is on a snow pillow that creates a weather condition and environment that is the same as an elevation of about 6,500 feet. The Moisture Content In The Snow Is Greater At Eagle Mountain than other ski areas at higher elevations, which allows us to groom and pack the snow crystals with more consistency to create the optimum surface on our trails. The snow is packed and firm which makes the skiing more enjoyable. We Guarantee Our Snow . Ask the cashier to stamp your Trail Pass. This gives you 30 minutes to check our ski conditions and trails. If you are not fully satisfied, return your Trail Pass and we will give you a Rain Check and a cup of hot coffee served with a smile. The Largest Sun Deck In The West . With 3,000 square feet of southern exposure, the sun deck creates a great atmosphere to take in some sun, enjoy a carbo snack, eat lunch or barbeque some food from the Cafe. Our Parking Area Is One Of The Largest And Easiest To Access , even to the most worrisome traveler. The patrolled parking lot is for Eagle Mountain customers only, so there is always more than ample parking, even on the busiest days. We start at 5,850 feet and ski up to a 7,000 foot altitude, utilizing a proposing effect going up, to keep those killer climbs to a minimum. The spectacular view on our trails, of the unspoiled wilderness, is broken only by the vague appearance on the horizon of the Sacramento Valley, Sutter Buttes and the coastal range, which ranges from 70 to 150 miles away, is the only sign of any civilization in the area. Our trail system includes 25% beginner, 50% intermediate and 25% advanced trails. For beginners, our meadow is great to start on, with flat terrain and a breathtaking view of the Aspens and the mountains in the background. For intermediates, the trails are like a roller playland for adults. For the advanced skiers, the trails are designed and used by our professional Groomers. We design the advanced trails with a personal touch, banking the corners and adding spectacular wop-de-dos to make them more challenging and exciting. In addition, we have Fall Line, which is the most technically advanced trail in North America. Our trail system was designed by skiers for skiers, with unspoiled views and fun in mind. Eagle Mountain Discount Pro Shop . Our prices are some of the best you will find and compare to most mail-order catalogs. Gene personally selects each item, which is an endorsement you can trust. It's either the best or the most efficient product Gene has seen on the market and Eagle Mountain stands behind it 100%. 2000/2001 Winter Trail Passes:
