What's Hot:
- Lookout Mountain, 200-Acres of New Terrain
- Northstar debuts 200-acres of new, advanced terrain accessed by a high-speed quad Mountain Express. Lookout Mountain includes snowmaking capabilities, a vertical drop 1,200' and five diamond runs: Prosser, Stampede, Gooseneck, Boca and Martis (named after reservoirs visible from Lookout Mountain). Lookout Mountain is the biggest terrain expansion at Northstar since the opening of the backside in 1983.
- 17' Superpipe
- Northstar this season is home to the new HPGR-17 superpipe cutter. This high tech cutter will enable Northstar to shape a 17' superpipe, the size used in many professional snowboard events. In addition to the superpipe, Northstar will also feature a standard halfpipe. Both will be located at the Ground Zero terrain park.

- Expanded Ski/Snowboard Rental Shop and New Equipment
- Skiers and snowboarders renting equipment will find ease and convenience in the new rental shop. In addition to an expanded facility, the rental shop will be automated. Guests will fill out their rental form on computer terminals located at the front of the shop. This information will be saved for the season enabling rental shop personnel to pull up a guest’s profile each time he/she rents equipment from Northstar. Additionally, automation allows for guests to reserve equipment and pick it up in a holding area located adjacent to the gondola. The rental shop will also feature a new inventory of Dynastar "Agyl" shaped skis and snowboards, and the state-of-the-art Snowell tuning machine that allows for custom precision tuning of skis and snowboards.
- Minors' Camp Happy Hour
- For parents interested in a romantic dinner alone or relaxing with an apres ski beverage, Minors’ Camp is extending its hours on Saturdays. Minors’ Camp Happy Hour is available from 5 – 7pm for kids ages two – 10 (must be toilet trained). Kids will be entertained with games, arts and crafts, story telling and other activities. Northstar's Snowsports Learning Center, rated on of the country's top snowsport schools by SKI Magazine, offers a program for every skier and snowboarder.
Enjoying snowsporting is easier than ever before thanks to Norhstar's coaching method known as "Get Good Quick." "Get Good Quick" is a departure from traditional instruction. Each student learns at his or her own pace. Whatever snowsport you choose, our professional instructors will build your confidence and help you have more fun on the slopes - We guarantee it!

But what about the really little ones? We've got lots for them to do too. This program is geared to keep your kids busy all day long so they won't miss you for a second.
