Spring Season
Generally runs from May through June. Quite often, winter activities are still available, best enjoyed in the morning. Skiing is marked with our world famous corn snow and afternoons offer a hint of summer activities such as hiking and golf.
July 23 - August 8, 2009 Lake Tahoe Music Festival
Outdoor summer music festival taking place around the North Shore Lake Tahoe area. 6 Concerts including Great Jazz, Grammy Award - Winning Artists, Rock - n - Roll Hall of Famers, Broadway and the Classics featuring the Reno Philharmonic Orchestra.
Generally runs from July through September. With overnight lows in the 40s and sunny highs in the upper 80s a wide variety of activities are available. Boating, golf, hiking, biking and other outdoor activities may be enjoyed in an ideal summer climate.
The summer activities include three days of fireworks during the Fourth of July, the Lake Tahoe Summer Music Festival, the Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival, the Concours d'Elegance Wooden Boat Show and much, much more!
Generally runs from October through November. Many of summer's activities abound without the backdrop of our summer crowds.
Lake Tahoe Marathon
The Lake Tahoe Marathon, 20 Miler and Half Marathon feature challenging hills and spectacular scenery. Included in these races are finisher's medals for all runs, walks, and relays, a long sleeve wind shirt, and hot dogs and beer. These races finish on one of the most pristine beaches at Lake Tahoe.
Winter Season
Generally runs from late November through April. During this time Lake Tahoe is home to some of the best skiing
and boarding found anywhere. Our days are generally sunny, not too cold and punctuated by winter storms that may dump 3-5 foot of snow on the area in a single day!!
Featuring Tubbs, Redfeather, Atlas, and MSR
Snowshoes, this year for the first time we will also have Cross-Country
Ski reps Fischer, Rossignol, Karhu and more. There will be a
variety of snowshoes and cross-country skis for you to try...come
find the snowshoes that best fit your needs. Hope Valley Outdoor
will have live music at the shop, and different activities will
be set up. This is the time to try the different snowshoes and
cross-country skis.
