  • Diamond Peak Ski Resort: This resort might be on the smaller end of Lake Tahoe Alpine skiing and snowboarding destinations but their flashy new buildings and fun slopes more than make up for it.

In general, Thanksgiving is the traditional opening day for Lake Tahoe Alpine skiing and snowboarding. Resort openings may be earlier or later depending upon Mother Nature. Regardless of opening dates, one thing is always for sure in Lake Tahoe - snow, snow and more snow - perfect conditions for Alpine skiing in Lake Tahoe.
