Centrally located on the North Shore between Tahoe City and Crystal Bay, Gar Woods Grill & Pier is right on the edge of Lake Tahoe in beautiful Carnelian Bay. The deck has fabulous views of Gar Woods' public pier, the lake and the mountains beyond. The upstairs private dining rooms are favorites among the locals and can accommodate groups from 20-150 for dining, dancing and even the wedding ceremony itself. Each has an "Old Tahoe" feeling; hickory chairs are hand-crafted and photos of old Gar Wood racing boats hang from the light, knotty pine walls.

We specialize in intimate weddings, from 2 to 15 people for wedding couples that are guests at the Shore House, and 2 - 8 people for couples that are not guests at the Shore House, year round. Our pier takes you out over the water, our lake front dining room, with a large river rock fireplace, pine walls and log furnishings offers a warm mountain lodge atmosphere.
