TahoesBest.com Announces Best Things to Do in Lake Tahoe this August 2013

Jul 30, 2013

With so much going on during the busy summer months, this August in Lake Tahoe is going to keep everybody on their toes. TahoesBest.com encourages visitors to attend the Concours d'Elegance coming up next weekend (Aug 9-10), and be sure to check out all of the events the Valhalla Art, Music & Theatre Festival have in store this year.

Concours d’Elegance

Hosted by the Tahoe Yacht Club Foundation, the Lake Tahoe Concours d’Elegance is celebrating its 41th year next weekend in Carnelian Bay! From its beginning in 1972, the Concours d’Elegance has grown into one of the most dearly loved summer events in Lake Tahoe, and is a must-see Lake Tahoe thing to do. Classic wooden boats will be beautifully displayed with an iconic Lake Tahoe backdrop, and this event is wonderful for both classic boat enthusiasts, or for families just looking for something to do!

The Lake Tahoe Concours d’Elegance is happening next weekend, August 10-11th. The show starts at 10am on Saturday, with an awards ceremony at 6pm. The event resumes on Sunday at 9am and ends at 4pm. Tickets are available now and can be purchased for $25 for one day, and $35 for both days (prices do go up on the day of the event).

Valhalla Art, Music & Theatre Festival

From inspirational displays of art to hilarious comedy shows, the Valhalla Art, Music & Theatre Festival is in the middle of its 33rd year with events happening through the end of August! Enjoy a relaxing picnic Sunday with Music on the Lawn, or book a night of roaring laughter with the Tahoe Improv Players.

Events are happening all month, so make sure not to miss out! Events take place in the Boathouse Theatre, The Valhalla Grand Hall and the Grand lawn, all located in South Lake Tahoe. Find the perfect South Lake Tahoe hotel and join the fun at this year’s Valhalla Art, Music & Theatre Festival.
