Lake Tahoe Perfection!
For starters when booking this trip with Sierra Fin Addicts I already had a very warm fuzzy feeling of what my husband and I were to expect. Gerald, the owner and guide, told me that he had a great very clean custom boat with a heated enclosure and that we'd target both Lake Trout, and Rainbow Trout with even a chance of getting a nice Brown Trout. Well he didn't let us down.
We meet Gerald bright and early the day of our trip and we were immediatelyimpressed with his boat. Very clean, comfortable, and had a nice heated enclosure. Gerald was very personable and we immediately hit it off with him! We started off fishing for Lake Trout (aka Mackinaw) and had immediate success! We landed 7 fish (released 3) within the first 2 hrs topped off with a couple in the 7 -8 lb range. From there we went and trolled along the shoreline where we must of caught and released over 6 Rainbow Trout and even caught that nice Brown Trout. Our trip was made not only by our great catch, but also by the light top notch tackle we used, which made the whole experience that much more memorable. An amazing trip!
Gerald is truely an addict and master of the fin! A 5 star rating does not even do this outfit justiice!!

Fishin' with Gerald
Have used other guides on Lake Tahoe but Sierra Fin Addicts is clearly the best. Captain Gerald is extremely well organized and will work hard to find the fish. Most trips involve at least two sometimes three fish species. Gerald knows where the fish are and how to catch them. Great value!

Great fisihing experience
Went fishing with Captain Gerald (the owner of Sierra Fin Addicts Guide Service) Sunday Sept 9, 2012. Our group of 4 (2 couples) took the 5h30 trip (saw the sunrise on Lake Tahoe- gorgeous !). Waking up in the morning was hard, but it was totally worth it. Gerald is very knowledgeable, friendly and professional. Each of us caught our 2 lake trouts very quickly (he knows the good spots !). He even arranged the fish for us (very big filets). The boat and gear is in A1 condition. It was a great experience, next time I am in Tahoe, I am definitely going back. This fishing trip was the highlight of our weekend. Thanks Capt Gerald !

Sierra Fin Addicts - The BEST!!!
We've gone out with Captain Gerald several times and each time has created long-lasting memories! My buddy and I have taken our kids out for several consecutive summers and each time has been a fantastic experience! Gerald knows the Lake extremely well, and does a great job with both kids and adults. Each time we've gone out with Captain Gerald, we were never disappointed with our catch, and Gerald always did an awesome job cleaning and fileting our fish (as well as sharing some fantastic recipes). In addition to our fishing trips, Gerald also runs a ski/wakeboarding service that we’ve used several times as well….again, great stuff and never disappointed. We will continue to use Sierra Fin Addicts and it is the only fishing charter in Tahoe I would recommend!).

FISHING !!
My wife and I went to Tahoe for our annual week away,. We had no plans for anything other than to just relax. We talked with some people at the hotel and they suggested we try fishing and if we wanted to have a GREAT experience we should go with Sierra Fin Addicts Guide Service Lake Tahoe. I called that night and left a message, and the next morning Gerald called me back and scheduled a time. We talked several times to confirm the weather and conditions and the best time. When we arrived, 15 minutes early, he was already there waiting, all geared up and ready to go. Boat, Gear, Snacks and a heatedcabin were top notch. The entire trip was amazing. Gerald's knowledge of the Lake and history of the area was amazing. We were treated professionally and made to feel at home. We caught a lot of fish and my wife and I had a great time. I think the Picture says it all.
Thank you

Great Tahoe fishing trip!
After visiting Tahoe for many years during the winter season my family and I finally decided to try our luck on a Lake Tahoe fishing charter. We met our guide, Capt Gerald, first thing in the AM and were pleasantly surprised not only by how nice his boat was, but also that he had a fully heated enclosed seating area.
He has a very fast boat and it only took us 10 min or so to get to the first fishing spot where we fishing for Mackinaw. Here we trolled deep and quickly were hooking and catching fish. We fished with a special spoon that Gerald makes and had 9 Mackinaw in the boat within the first 2 1/2 hrs. Our biggest one was about 7 lbs, which my son caught.
From here we crossed the lake and tried another technique for trout. Gerald said that the water was on the cold side and that it may be slow, but we still gave it a try. We trolled with bait and caught 4 Rainbow trout before we had to call it a day. All and all my family and I had a great day on the lake and we had some nice fillets to take to one of the local restaurant for dinner.
I would recommend this outfit to anyone! Gerald is a very professional and knowledgeable captain who is great / patient with kids and his boat & equipment are top notch as well. Great Lake Tahoe guide service!!

Best fishing outing ever
Right on time at 4:50 on Hyatt dock. Super comfortable craft, brand new, very hospitable to my young boys
ages 10 and 13, and caught our first fish about 40 min. into the trip.
My boys wore out Gerald with their incessant questions but he answered each one with a smile on his face. Could
not have been kinder and affable.
Caught our limit in a couple hours, no wasted time, always working the down riggers and baiting hooks, lines in
water at almost all times. Cleaned our fish expertly, bagged them nicely, and we cooked them up a couples nights
later and were reminded of what a great time we had.
Gerald super professional yet supremely personably. Come back in a NY minute!

A Great Time...again
I was lucky enough to take a half day fishing charter with Gerald at Sierra Fin Addicts back in June. I feel like in the past 20+ years of visiting Lake Tahoe, I have taken in most of what it has to offer. My half day charter with Sierra Fin Addicts is at the top of my list of most memorable and fun things I have done in Tahoe. Catching your limit in fishing is never a guarantee. What is a guarantee with Sierra Fin Addicts is that Gerald will work his tail off to make sure you have fun. He is non stop on the go checking with other guides, adjusting his lines, moving to new spots, and watching his fish finder to ensure his guests have the best chances of putting fish on the boat. Gerald was extremely personable throughout the trip as well. He takes an interest in his guests and shares tales of his fishing around the world. It was like hanging out with a good friend, having a beer, and chatting it up. I had such a great time, I came back a couple weeks later. I'm writing this review after my second trip with Gerald at Sierra Fin Addicts. The second trip was just as memorable. Imagine looking to your right and watching a beautiful full moon sink behind the mountains, then looking to your left and watching an equally beautiful sunrise spill its reflection across the lake within minutes. We didn't catch our limit this time around, but we were only two fish away with plenty of action, conversation, laughs, and good company. I can't give a big enough compliment to Gerald and his company than to keep coming back. Which is exactly what I plan on doing. Whether you're an experienced angler that wants to do it all yourself or a novice just looking for a fun time, I hope you get a chance to take a charter with Gerald. Sierra Fin Addicts wont disappoint. Thanks for the Mackinaw fish tacos recipe Gerald!

Sierra Fin = Tahoe's Best
We recently went out in late November with Captain Gerald of Sierra Fin Addicts. Gerald was extremely communicative, and we were talking on a daily basis before our planned outing due to the changing conditions (extremely windy). Our scheduled day got pushed out because of the conditions, and Gerald was beyond accommodating and juggled his schedule to get us out as soon as the lake was fishable again. In addition, he was super flexible and was even willing to pick us up at our dock in Sunnyside (which is a trek from Incline). We ended up meeting in the middle but point being, from our first conversation, it was evident that Gerald was passionate about Tahoe fishing and exceeding client expectations.
We started off the morning with a double hook-up on Macs within 10 minutes and limited out by 8:30 (even after releasing several smaller fish). Once done with the Macs, Gerald took us into the shallows to fish for rainbows. We caught several nice rainbows --two of which were 5lbs -- and ended the day how we started, with a double hook-up.
Gerald's boat and gear are top notch and his experience and knowledge of Tahoe are beyond compare. We thoroughly enjoyed our time with him and great conversation. My 8-year old was beaming for two days after our trip; the attached pics represents three generations of fisherman with 1) three nice native Tahoe rainbows 2) limit of Macs
The day could not have been any better - A+ across the board, and we will be back without a doubt.
You cannot go wrong with Sierra Fin Addicts; I highly recommend them.

Great Lake Tahoe Fishing Trip!
My wife and I had a great time fishing with the owner Gerald! He kept me well informed about weather conditions on the days leading up to our trip and made sure to get us out on the lake at the best time possible. The boat was nice and warm and he was very knowledgeable about the sights around the lake. We caught some beautiful Mackinaw at 5.5/6/6/12lbs and he was able to give me a great recommendation on a restaurant that would prepare the fish for us. We are definitely coming back this summer for some more fishing action on beautiful Lake Tahoe!

Excellent Fishing Trip!!
Gerald is an outstanding guide with first rate boat and equipment. Targeted lake trout at sun up and nailed 7 - one at 8lbs. Headed for the shallows to find rainbows in the afternoon. Topped off a great day with Gerald recommending we take our catch to the local pub for a fantastic meal. Highly recommend Sierra Fin Addicts.

Sierra Fin Addicts are #1
Chartered a private fishing tour for my wife and I on Sept. 26th 2015. We had a wonderful time. I have been fighting cancer since June of 2013 and haven't been able to do any serious fishing since. Having just finished radiation I've yearned to be able to fish again. Michael had no idea of my condition. He was very courteous and professional. He did everything but reel in the fish for us. He did a great job keeping us in the water and on the fish. My wife and I both limited out in the first hour and were able to upgrade a few culled fish. We fished for Mackinaw and Brown trout. Couldn't have picked a better guide. Thanks again Michael for everything. We had a lot of fun, you made it a great day that we'll never forget. He even filleted our fish for us. Great service!
