Burgers and Beer at the Bridgetender Tavern and Grill Tahoe

Features: Nestled snugly next to the Truckee River, the Bridgetender Tavern and Grill Tahoe serves delicious burgers and other signature bar foods. Beautiful outdoor patio seating and a rare elk burger will give visitors a taste of the outdoors while still enjoying friendly and fast service.

Why We Go: Classic American grub with a fancy twist is paired with a cozy, large mountain cabin feel. The Bridgetender Tavern Lake Tahoe also features a full bar with stiff drinks at fair prices with a relaxed atmosphere.

  • Great Location: The Bridgetender Tahoe City is located right off of the 89/28 intersection, and thus represents a prime spot to relax after a long day on the slopes.
  • Unique Beers: Beyond the usual beers and mixed drinks, the Bridgetender Tavern and Grill Tahoe offers up specialty tap beers such as Moose Drool and Mirror Pond. Need we say more?
  • Enormous Portions: The large entree sizes at the Bridgetender Tahoe City lends itself perfectly to starving tourists who have had a busy day out on the town. Otherwise, you can split your burger and waffle fries with ease with another light eater.

Inside Knowledge: The Bridgetender Tavern and Grill Tahoe building was constructed in 2002, after 25 years in the original building across the street.

Do's and Don'ts:

  • Do Try Sitting Outside: When the weather is nice enough, it's nearly impossible to beat the fresh air and ambiance of being by the river and enjoying your meal at the Bridgetender Tavern Lake Tahoe. There is an outside bar as well!
  • Do Expect to Wait: During rush hours, the Bridgetender at Fanny Bridge Tahoe can build up long waits. They also don't take reservations, so come ready to wait it out, and grab a beer at the bar first.
  • Don't Bring Your Dancing Shoes: The Bridgetender Tahoe City has a separate bar area but it's more of a relaxed setting with no dance floor.
  • Don't Expect Live Entertainment: Background music is as far as musical entertainment goes at the Bridgetender Tavern and Grill Tahoe.
