OVERVIEW:
For the last 30 years Borges Sleigh Rides have been providing visitors to Lake Tahoe with a unique winter experience. They are family owned and operated and are proud to showcase their handmade antique sleighs and carriages. Take that special someone on a dinner ride to enjoy hot cocoa and a three course meal while gently gliding across the Tahoe snow. Check out the elegant Blond Belgian Draft Horses and the rare Russian Baskir Curlies. Borges is open year round and they specialize in romantic dinner sleigh rides during the winter and carriage rides during the summer.
Weddings:
Make your wedding day an unforgettable experience by arriving on a romantic horse drawn carriage pulled by an elegant draft horse. The Lake Tahoe backdrop is a perfect setting for a romantic ride through the snow on your big day. Borges will deliver you and that special someone to your wedding destination in a sleigh or Carriage, depending on the season. There is no better way to ask for her hand in marriage than in one of our "Romance Sleighs."
Sleigh Rides:
Cruise around the beautiful Lake Tahoe in one of Borges' antique European Sleighs. 30 minute and 1 hour rides are available daily from 10 AM - Sunset (about 4:45). Be sure to bring your camera for unique photo
opportunities. During your exciting ride take advantage of the complimentary warm blankets for snuggling. The sleigh drivers are very friendly and they will point out local landmarks throughout your tour.
Carriage Rides:
On a warm summer day take a romantic ride in one of their antique European Carriages. Each ride lasts for 30 minutes and they run daily from noon - sunset, weather permitting. Experience Lake Tahoe as you have never seen it before with a Borges Historian as your guide.
Dinner Sleigh Rides:
Enjoy a delicious dinner from LewMarNels, a steak and seafood restaurant, and then be whisked away on a romantic sunset sleigh ride through the Tahoe snow. Transportation to-and-from the restaurant is provided by Borges, all you have to bring is your appetite!
Dinner Carriage Rides:
Begin your 30-minute narrated carriage ride at the Embassy Suites Stateline and experience the beauty of Tahoe. Tour through the city and then cruise along the beach at Lake Tahoe for a truly unforgettable experience. After the tour enjoy a gourmet meal from the Echo Restaurant at the Embassy Suites. This is also a kid friendly tour.
