Not somewhere I would recommend
Let me tell you, the 70’s are alive and well! Just ask anyone who’s ever been to the Lakeside Inn. First of all, the place smells like one big ashtray. There is a small casino in the hotel. If you don’t mind lung cancer, I guess it could be a fun place to hang out. I’ve been to many other casinos that you can smoke inside, and at least they vent that stuff out. I feel like the same smoke from 1974 is still in the air here. All the furniture is that old brown color from the 70’s, and the majority of the clientele here, dare I say... needs a bath.
With that said, there is actually a pretty nice restaurant here called Timber House. That’s actually the reason I found myself here. The restaurant has decent food, but when we were done eating, we were done with the hotel. I haven’t seen the rooms or stayed here or anything, but just from the looks of the place, I’m not missing out on much.
