The Humane Society of Truckee-Tahoe serves the Truckee and entire North Lake Tahoe area by providing pet adoptions, community spay/neuter services and humane education programs. We are a non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation run by a very small staff and a cadre of dedicated volunteers. We are funded solely by private donations. Adoption days are held every Saturday at the Town of Truckee’s animal kennel location in the Town Corporation Yard and at certain special events throughout the year. We are always welcoming new volunteers at our volunteer orientations conducted twice a month.
