At Tahoe Cross Country Ski Area we are celebrating our
opening season, offering 65 kilometers of well-groomed trails, perfect for novice skiers
as well as the more advanced. We feature a brand new Fischer/Salomon ski rental line,
friendly staff, and lessons offered daily. Guests will find snacks, hot drinks and a warm,
welcoming atmosphere at the day lodge.
Group and private lessons are available daily. Children's lessons are available during
weekends and holidays.
Tahoe Cross Country host the biggest cross country race in the west, the 24th annual
Great Ski Race on March 4, 2001, benefiting the Tahoe Nordic Search and Rescue Team.
- HOW TO FIND US
- Located two miles east of downtown Tahoe City on Dollar Hill, off Hwy. 28. Turn onto
Fabian Way (across from 7-11 store) then right on village & left on Country Club Drive
- Trail system offers 65 kilometers of groomed ski trail
- 25% beginner, 45% intermediate, 35% advanced
- Open 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, seven days a week
- Connection to the Fibreboard Freeway and the Great Race Ski Trail
- Two Trailside warming huts

2000/2001 Season
- Yes the rumors are true. Special Green Trail has become part of the loop
de poop. We have expanded to 7.5 kilometers of dog trail (3 additional
km). Dogs are now welcome on Blue Trail and Special Green Trail Sunday
2pm through Friday.
- Dog passes (daily $3, season $45) include free daily powerbones and
poop bags for cleaning up any trail mess.

Trail Rules
- Obey all trail signs
- One Way Trails - Ski in direction of arrows.
- Two Way Trails - Keep to the right.
- State Park Regulations apply within Burton State Park boundaries.
- Grooming may not prevent bare spots, obstacles, or ice on trails. Grooming machines may
be on trails at any time. Ski with caution and under control. Conditions are always
changing. Natural and man-made obstacles exist - hazards may not be marked.
- Abide by the Placer County Skier's Responsibility Code, and all posted notices, warnings
and signs.
