Great Italian Fine Dining in Tahoe
I went to Scusa because of a recommendation by a friend of mine. It’s right off the main highway that goes through South Lake Tahoe, but a little farther away from the main hotels and casinos by stateline (10-15 min). If you’re looking for good fine dining Italian though, the drive is worth it. Scusa is all about fine dining. It reminds me of a quaint little Italian restaurant from the 50’s, Frank Sinatra style.
Everything on the menu sounded super delicious. I ordered the seafood fettuccine, and it was to die for! It was a little more expensive than some of the other options, but it sounded so good. It has almost every type of seafood in it and lost of it! There was shrimp, scallops, clams, mussels and calamari. It was in this rich, spicy alfredo sauce. So good! I’d recommend it to anyone that enjoys seafood. The meal came with bread and olive oil too, which was great. The service was good and the food came really fast.
If you’re in South Lake and looking for a nice meal, I would definitely recommend Scusa. It’s a great place to enjoy a long, relaxing meal with a bottle of wine, an appetizer and great pasta.
