Discovery Blind Sports is an all volunteer, non–profit organization that provides guides for the visually impaired who wish to experience the thrills of snow related sports. We offer guides for skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, cross country, and telemark. Kirkwood Mountain Resort is where we are based out of but we can provide guides to any other ski areas. We train and offer refreshers for our guides and also offer instruction to our skiers/riders. One of our goals is to get family and friends involved so we encourage them to attend our clinics plus we also offer discounts for drivers. Through Discovery Blind Sports and Kirkwood Mountain Resort we can get our visitors on the hill for a significantly reduced cost. We also offer scholarships to help with some of these expenses. Discovery Blind Sports is financed through donations and grass roots fund raisers and we are a 501(c)(3) organization so all donations are tax deductible.
