Photography by High Mountain Imagery
Lake Tahoe Photography
Mike Eadington has been a Lake Tahoe local for most of his life and a
professional photographer for 15 years.
Mike personally oversees all HMI
photography projects, usually as photographer and art director, but has also been known to assist as a location coordinator,
lighting technician and technical assistant. Living full time in the Tahoe Basin since 1990, Mike rounded his photography
knowledge at the University of Nevada Reno art photography program, studying under nationally acclaimed photographer Peter Goin,
and at the San Francisco Academy of Art. Mike’s artistic and technical background, backed up by High Mountain Imagery’s cutting
edge photographic and digital laboratory, is the professional advantage that guarantees a perfect product-conception through
presentation visual imagery.
“I let the photograph create itself through the environment that it is created in. Diversity in photography leads to a better
understanding of the photographic process. The combination of art, science of capturing light and the interplay between the
subject and photographer all lead to the final image.
I have taken portraits in Tibetan villages in the Himalayas, landscapes in the vineyards of the South of France, and architectural
photographs of properties worth tens of millions of dollars. Shooting weddings is what I consider one of the most technically
demanding styles of photography. The photographer must act as art and technical director in varying lighting conditions while at
the same time organizing and directing guests, the wedding party, family and Bride and Groom. The style in which I shoot is
created by the unique feel of all weddings. The best images are created by emotion. It is my goal as a wedding photographer to
attempt to capture the emotion of celebration while also documenting a once in a lifetime get together of family and friends that
will never be created again. All this while not controlling the wedding, letting the Bride and Groom enjoy their special day.
Along with technical and personal expertise my clients gain the benefit of High Mountain Imageries cutting edge digital laboratory.
I custom print all images on a Roland an eight color certified Giclée printer. Giclée is basically a fancy term for a high end
digital printer that prints archival inks to a variety of media like photography paper,
water color paper and canvas. The photographs
are no longer limited to gloss and semi-gloss or even single images to a print. The ink and the paper is designed to last over one
hundred years without fading unlike traditional forms of printing. Add in our
custom framing shop and all your wedding photography
needs can be taken care of in one spot. By working with me I ensure that your special prints get the
individual attention that only
the artist can ensure.”
