Tahoe Cross Country Ski AreaAt Tahoe Cross Country Ski Area we are celebrating our opening season, offering 65 kilometers of well-groomed trails, perfect for novice skiers as well as the more advanced. We feature a brand new Fischer/Salomon ski rental line, friendly staff, and lessons offered daily. Guests will find snacks, hot drinks and a warm, welcoming atmosphere at the day lodge.

Group and private lessons are available daily. Children's lessons are available during weekends and holidays.

Tahoe Cross Country host the biggest cross country race in the west, the 24th annual Great Ski Race on March 4, 2001, benefiting the Tahoe Nordic Search and Rescue Team.

*Certified ski instruction for diagonal stride, skate skiing and telemark

Trail Rules

  1. Obey all trail signs
  2. One Way Trails - Ski in direction of arrows.
  3. Two Way Trails - Keep to the right.
  4. State Park Regulations apply within Burton State Park boundaries.
  5. Grooming may not prevent bare spots, obstacles, or ice on trails. Grooming machines may be on trails at any time. Ski with caution and under control. Conditions are always changing. Natural and man-made obstacles exist - hazards may not be marked.
  6. Abide by the Placer County Skier's Responsibility Code, and all posted notices, warnings and signs.
