Skiing at Mt. Rose Ski Tahoe We know attitude is everything, but at Mt. Rose altitude is everything. With a base elevation of 8,260', our parking lots are higher than the summits at some other areas, ensuring the best conditions in the basin, even on the warmest spring days.

Carve, bash bumps or simply cruise on nearly 1,000 acres and almost 1,500 vertical feet of bowls, trees and glades. More terrain features for every ability level -- from gentle rollers to extreme parks.

If that's not enough, feast your eyes on expansive views: Lake Tahoe to the west, Nevada's high desert mountains to the east.

Location is everything, too...25 minutes from Reno makes Mt. Rose the closest major resort to an international airport in the world.

Rosebuds Children's Ski Center

At Rosebuds Children's Ski and Snowboard Center the best professional instructors use the latest techniques in a fun, controlled environment. We've also centralized registration, rentals, classroom activities and mountain access on the lower level, Main Lodge. For ages 4-10, snowboarding for ages 7-10. Private lessons available. **Helmets provided for all children.

Looking for Tahoe's closest skiing and snowboarding to Reno? Come up to Mt. Rose. Just about 22 miles from downtown Reno and 25 minutes from Reno/Tahoe International Airport. Our Mt. Rose Highway (SR 431) location is even closer to Lake Tahoe's north shore - 11 miles and just 15 minutes from Incline Village.
